BONE BROTH PUMPKIN SPICED LATTE
The ways that you can add the healing powers of bone broth to your diet are seemingly endless thanks to our one of a kind, completely tasteless smoothie booster! In celebration of fall, we decided to get festive and #basic with our most dynamic bone broth. We dawned our ugg boots, wrapped ourselves in plaid blanket scarves and dug out our cutest knit beanies. And to complete the ensemble.... we created... PUMPKIN SPICED LATTES! WITH BONE BROTH!
They're wicked easy to make, and honestly they taste sooooooo good. Here's the recipe:
1cup Borderland Food Co Bone Broth Smoothie Base
1/2 cup coffee (brewed strong)
1 cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 tablespoons of maple syrup
2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
Whipped cream, (optional)
Ground cinnamon for garnish (optional)
Brew 1/2 cups of fresh strong coffee (aka survival juice). Choose a coffee that’s strong, smooth and preferably LOCAL (insert joke about how ‘you like your coffee how you like your men’ here).
In a small pan set over medium heat, measure in the pumpkin puree and maple syrup, then slowly whisk in the almond milk and Borderland Food Co Bone Broth Smoothie Base.
Cook for 3-5 minutes, until the pumpkin and syrup dissolve and the mixture is steaming. (Caution! Don’t let it boil. Learned that one the hard way). Remove from the burner and mix in the vanilla extract. Slowly add the pumpkin pie spice while stirring because no one likes a lumpy late.
Pour 1/2 cup of coffee into a medium to large mug then pour the bone broth mixture into the mug until it reaches the top.
Stir well, garnish with whipped cream (hells yeah), sprinkle with ground cinnamon or extra pumpkin pie spice, and chug (or probably sip) immediately.
